The infamous Vancouver Street Art
Written and Photographed by Howe Sim
As with any other big metropolitan center, Vancouver is home to a large collection of graffiti. While it is largely despised by officials and the object of clean-up crews, many members of the public consider this form of expression an ever-changing art form.
In addition to the many popular illegal hot spots for graffiti such as the Downtown Core and the drug-infested East End, there are several locations around the city where legal graffiti walls have been established.
The city has even created an annual mural/graffiti competition offering prize money, and there are a number of live graffiti painting demonstrations put on throughout the year.
On my recent trip out to B.C., I went out in search of the best of the West Coast's infamous street art, and encountered many stunningly
beautiful pieces. The photographs below were taken in the heart of the city, around Gastown and in the Cordova & Main & Pender areas.

Thank you very much for your time.
These are all great! I love the Lichtenstein! Pop Art graffiti is probably my favorite.
